On April, 30th, the 29th Residenzlauf (Residence Run) took place, and 4 of our volunteers and Manu (and also Jubi’s janitor, Andy) participated in it. Leila, Andromachi, Juan and Shïma ran for 10 km around the Residenz, while Mattia and I took photos and cheered them on.
We were there at 1 pm, which is why we haven’t seen all of the runs. It’s a big event, consisting of 10 runs, including 3 for kindergarten pupils. We just saw a few of the happy kids after their event. Since it’s a well-known run with a long tradition, there was quite a lot of participants: 6 673, among which were more than 3 000 children and teenagers.
The main run began at 1.30 pm, with good atmosphere and really nice weather: it was sunny but not hot, a bit windy but not too windy to run (I believe). It was the first really beautiful day in two weeks or so (and the last till now…). I don’t know what results our runners achieved but they all did run 10 km. You should be very proud of yourselves! ❤
After the run we enjoyed the weather together with a small picnic in the Residenzgarten, we celebrated the success with khachapuri and well-deserved champagne.
